Group support provides bereaved individuals the opportunity to meet with others experiencing grief. Our adult grief support drop-ins provide a safe space in which to share journeys and receive support from others. It is about listening and being heard, rather than fixing. The group is facilitated by trained COHA volunteers and weekly on Tuesdays (starting September 10, 2013) from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Central Okanagan Hospice House, Memorial Room, 2035 Ethel St. There is no need to register and no cost to attend.
Our 8-week adult grief support program runs a few times a year based upon demand. It aims to provide tools through which participants can better understand their grief. Attendance at each session is preferred, and pre-registration is required.
